Impact investing is about one of the most effective platforms today for ideas to get the attention and resources it deserves. It’s about value exchange–a simple science of investing in ideas, companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate a measurable, beneficial social or environmental impact alongside a financial return. Perfect match. Entrepreneurs meet Investors. Innovators meet investors. Possibilities are created. If we are serious about leaving the welfare economics that characterize the strength of our prevailing business outcomes and scaling to those levels that meet the expectations of our highest aspirations, this is the types of conversations we have to endure and leave everything else for. Impact investments provide capital to address social and/or environmental issues. Few other paths keep social change possible and sustainable.
